The Juniper Flats

Written by

This is my first posting of an image generated by an iPhone 4, rather than my usual Canon camera. It is surprisingly high-quality.

This was taken on the "Juniper Flats" Side Trail, part of the Bruce Trail system near Dyer's Bay, Ontario.

The flats, as the name implies, have clusters of juniper bushes. There are many crevasses surrounding the juniper, making it a rocky hike best walked with solid footwear (good advice for any part of the penninsula portion of the Bruce Trail).

The unique formations here demonstrate a thriving biodiversity -- something often sadly missing in the southern portions of the trail.

This site exists as a hub for sharing my photos, designs, and writings.

Most photos are taken with my "point-and-shoot" Canon Powershot, and a few of the newer ones are taken with an iPhone4. Some photos in the "articles" are not mine, where this is the case credit is given in caption.
