Darkness falling on Dyer's Bay

Written by

Last year we enjoyed a week in Dyer's Bay. At the time, the phone that this image was taken from (iPhone 4) was brand new, and I tested it out in various ways.

At the time, it didn't produce terribly good images. This is one of the best of water shots, in that first week.

This one was a bit of a challenge to pretty up a bit -- it looked nice "as-is" but was darker than I normally like. Too much brightening on these low-res images though, and the flaws become far too apparent.

The location is Dyer's Bay, along the Bruce Peninsula. A nice quiet cottage community, enclosed by the Niagara Escarpment. North of this community is a long winding road, at the end of which resides one of the few remaining historical lighthouses on Georgian Bay, at Cabot Head.
